Anne is a lifelong resident of Stamford. She didn't mean to be. It just
turned out that way; she married a hometown boy and the roots were
there. As was the dream job. She is currently living the whirlwind life
of a full-time working mom. Between the dream job relocating to
Westchester (and Anne with it) and having a small human being to care
for, Anne hasn't been out and about around town as much over the past
couple of years, but she is hoping that this blog gives her the
opportunity and inspiration to change that.
Irene has lived in Stamford since 1967. She can be found around town photographing the objects, landscapes, and views that capture her fancy. She is a Roman history aficionado who blogs at Roman History Books and More. Irene also serves as the webmaster for the Stamford Historical Society's website (soon to be brought into the 21st century) and is the primary blogger at Stamford History Real Time. She enjoys good food and is a fan of The Stamford Symphony; as well as of the Bartlett Arboretum (and so is Anne). While Irene loves writing about history both Roman and local, she has also been thinking of a foray into blogging about her own experiences and goings-on in present-day Stamford.
So we got together as Stamford Scribes.
