New 'Dirty Business' mystery novel out by local author Rosemary Harris: Dead Head

Last Sunday afternoon, Rosemary Harris chatted about her new Dirty Business mystery novel, Dead Head, at the Lakeside Diner and signed books. The place was full, and everyone had a good time. You can meet her in Stamford next on Thursday, June 17 at the Harry Bennett Branch of the Ferguson Library, off Vine Road, at 6:30 PM.

Fugitive mom...that's the tabloid headline that rocks a small New England town when it's discovered that one of their favorite ladies is a fugitive from the law. Amateur sleuth and professional landscaper Paula Holliday is called on by the woman's family to find out who dropped the dime and why this long-kept secret is enough to kill for.

It's an excellent read, well constructed, and full of suspense to the last. The "Paradise Diner" features heavily … and will Sergeant O'Malley find romance at last?

The Bartlett Arboretum was hard hit by the recent storm and needs your help!

"Not only were over a dozen trees in our collection knocked down, but two of the largest specimens on our property were destroyed as well. With the loss of power and water in our propagation greenhouse, the Bartlett also sustained losses to the annuals and seasonal plants which are to be put out on the grounds this summer.
